В Санкт-Петербурге ураганный ветер унес часть обшивки крыши строящего стадиона "Крестовский". 30 квадратных метров навеса рухнули вниз. При инциденте никто не пострадал.

Бразилия: штат Рио-де-Жанейро объявил чрезвычайное положение в сфере фин...

За полтора месяца до начала Олимпийских игр бразильский штат Рио-де-Жанейро объявил чрезвычайное положение в сфере финансов. Соответствующий декрет был опубликован в пятницу в официальном бюллетене штата. Сообщается, что тяжёлая экономическая ситуация "мешает штату выполнить взятые обязательства по проведению Олимпийских и Паралимпийских игр". Декрет позволяет властям "принять необходимые чрезвычайные меры для рационализации работы коммунальных служб".

В Бельгии задержаны 12 человек по подозрению в подготовке терактов

В результате 40 ночных рейдов в Бельгии полиция задержала 12 человек по подозрению в подготовке терактов, возможно, связанных с Евро-2016.
Сотрудники правопорядка допросили 40 человек, провели обыски в 40 домах и 152 гаражах. В ходе обысков не было найдено оружия или взрывчатки.
По данным СМИ, подозреваемые планировали нападения на зоны для болельщиков в Брюсселе в эти выходные во время трансляции матча с участием Бельгии.

Лондон: убийца депутата предстал перед судом

Томас Майр, которому предъявлены обвинения в убийстве депутата британского парламента Джо Кокс, предстал в (лондонском) Магистратском суде Вестминстера. Отвечая на вопрос, как его зовут, Майр заявил: "Мое имя - смерть предателям, свобода Великобритании!" Майр был задержан по горячим следам в городе Берстолл, где и совершил нападение.
Жертва преступника Джо Кокс получила огнестрельные и ножевые ранения, направлялась в свою депутатскую приемную для встречи с избирателями.

AMERICA - Gunman arrested at Texas Donald Trump rally

A man who allegedly had a gun at a rally for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in the US state of Texas was detained on Friday
NBC reported that the man was discovered in a parking garage with a gun in his possession at the site of the rally in the The Woodlands, just north of Houston.
The man was detained several hours before Trump was scheduled to arrive. It was not clear whether he was a supporter or an opponent of the controversial real estate billionaire.

INDIA - 11 Hindus jailed for life for 2002 Gujarat riots

An Indian court has jailed 11 Hindus for life for the murder of dozens of Muslims during riots in Gujarat in 2002.

The court sentenced 12 other people to seven years in jail for arson and other charges during the disturbances.

A further person was given a 10-year sentence.

Omicidio Jo Cox - la polizia conferma la pista dell'estrema destra

La polizia britannica indaga su possibili legami tra il presunto assassino della deputata laburista Jo Cox e l'estrema destra. Thomas Mair, arrestato sulla scena del crimine, è stato un devoto sostenitore dell'organizzazione neonazista Alleanza nazionale: lo ha rivelato il Southern Poverty Law Centre, organizzazione legale senza fini di lucro. L'uomo ha anche sofferto di disturbi mentali.
